Whit Ember Day 2

Lenty, Penty, Crucy, Lucy.

"Go to the ant, O sluggard,
and consider her ways, and learn wisdom:
Which, although she hath no guide, nor master, nor captain,
provideth her meat for herself in the summer,
and gathereth her food in the harvest."
Proverbs 6:6-8

The Summer or Whit Ember Days start on the first Wednesday after the Solemnity of Pentecost (50 days after Easter).

A day of fasting and full abstinence from meat. We give thanks for the wheat used to make the Eucharist hosts
